@lamka02sk they proposed this standard multiple years ago, closely after 'filter' was introduced. Everyone agreed except Firefox. That's why it's flag was disabled all these years.

Apple supported it from day one. The new (upcoming) Edge will support it. Opera just needs to set the flag to true.

I wanted this feature from day one as I was seeing this "blur" design trend coming.

Many things I still wish have similar stories. So stop fucking to bash on Google, the community wanted it, Google took it in their hands to make the best of it.

Google's thought on one browser is not to take over the web, but to share a common core that we all agree on.

So, Mozilla, either get to work or stfu. All you are is a faster, less accurate Browser.
