Well, Uber can just buy some self-driving cars and put them to work. :)
Only one company making making more money with cheaper prices (no need to pay the driver). -
john-doe9365y@brunofontes manufacturers can just release self driving cars from the factory to the towns where there's a offer/demand imbalance.
-
bazinga725y@brunofontes well why should it be limited to just uber.Think of an utopia where all government are autonomous and transparent with very less involvement from middlemen(politicians).
-
Oh, I can't imagine that. Money makes the world. Whoever have more money, will invest more on these technologies to make still more money and it will be each say harder to make money out of them, unless the government oposes to that.
Yet, still, we all know the government is usually more interested on their own finances and fame that everyone's well being. -
josap2115yThe flaw of the reasoning is that the car is not an independent entity from the manufacturer unless a separate entity purchases it. So you still need a middle man. That middle man could indeed be the car manufacturer itself. It could establish a limited company just for the purpose of implementing such scheme, but in the end the limited company would still be owned by the car manufacturer.
So, it's a fascinating idea, but to make it truly fully autonomous you would also need to have the whole supply chain on cryptocurrencies and self managed (AI) industries. -
cephei1775ythe money the cars generate and are not used for self sustaining itself could go into infrastructures or basic incomes for drivers who lost their jobs for to self driving cars.
