@ewpratten I think its a back end thing as well which would mean you'd have to find a back end vulnerability...

C0D4669025yfront end captures information about you and a backend call is made to confirm you passed the test - speaking from experience implementing these things.
It's great 🤣 -

it's great from a system perspective, it's a royal pain from a user perspective if they block google... or get stuck in a never ending sequence of questions. -
@C0D4 Fair point, or bad from a user perspective when they don't want to block or can't but do want to stay out of mass surveillance networks.

Root797735yI have run into this as well ☹
My workaround was to only enable Google's insidious BS for recaptchas. And try to avoid sites that use it wherever possible.
Sigh. -
rk4xyz45yI try to stay away as much as I can but it's basically impossible.
Noscript can help block it initially, then you can decide if you care enough about using the service to add a temporary exception. -
Everything is wrong with reCaptcha:
- Loads from google.com for cookies
- Not allowing third party cookies punishes users with huge amounts pictures (my browser is classified as only 10% human), without any useful feedback ("there was an error, try again")
- Blocks site access in China (haven't checked it, but Google isn't available there)
- Sites are not checking if reCaptcha even has loaded and don't tell you that they require it - so registration fails with idiotic error messages
- Someone deobfuscated it and found serious tracking inside it.
And then there are those site who not only use it for registration, but login as well - how can one be so customer unfriendly? -
You could use services like anti-captcha that will solve recaptcha for you and inject the response into the webpage. There are browser extensions too. It's like 2.5 bucks per 1000 recaptchas solved.
You just provide the URL and the site key, they will contact Google themselves and solve it on your behalf, so your pc will never talk to Google. -
@Root they do, if you pay via btc you get 10% more captcha credit too. That's my favorite payment method as well :)
-
@Root you asked if they accept BTC, I replied ^^ you did not ask for anonimity. But hardly anyone accepts coins like XMR or BTCP nowadays sadly :(

Mother of fucking god, its astonishing to see how difficult it is to entirely block out Google from your computer.
Actually, its very easy and I wrote something to automate that but the second you block out that goddamned mass surveillance network, every login page of every goddamn site with a fucking recaptcha just doesn't work anymore.
Google, go fuck yourself and with that, every motherfucking site which uses recaptcha.
