How do you guys sync your music library on your linux PC on your android phone. For apple products there is iTunes. I know about a deprecated tool for samsung phones called Samsung Kies. Is there any good option with a GUI that allows me to sync music on my android device. (Yes I can just mount it and copy it over but thats a bit inconvinient when you only want to sync a few songs). Also, no, google music is not an option. Any suggestions?

    Well I'm just using mpd for that. But it doesn't sync music. Just makes the music play on my PC.

    @SuwakoMmh it's been a while since I used Syncthing. Does it allow for selective sync nowadays? Asking because Op said "when you only want to sync a few songs".

    @RantSomeWhere I do have my stuff in folders. I am like the most ocd person when it cones to organization on my PC. Everything is nicely sorted in folders, every album has its folder and all mp3s are tagged etc

    @kescherRant Can you elaborate a bit? This sound like an interesting approach. Do you have all your stuff on a vps or so?

    Spotify premium set to 320kpbs - who needs actually files anymore when I have 60GB of data to chew a hole through each month?

    Unless of course they are vinyl rips or flac files.... then I'll be impressed.

    @Kyu96 same thing goes: I just drop all my music folders onto whatever device I'm using. It just so happens I manage my music with iTunes.

    @C0D4 hehe. Why would I waste my bandwith and battery when my phone holds my entire music collection anyway? And why would I repeatedly pay for access to music I own?

    I mean, you do you. Spotify probably has other advantages (e.g. music recommendations), streaming just isn't the one for me.
