    Once you learn to hjkl you should not use hjkl. hjkl and the arrow keys share the same antipattern. If you hold down or tap a key multiple times in vim, you are navigating wrongly.

    I still haven't seen a single good reason why people would use something that makes life so uselessly difficult. Happy to be schooled in it of course

    @M1sf3t you raise a few good points.. though I still struggle with the idea of key combinations out the ass like that.. but.. I'm happy enough to be proven wrong if it makes my life easier in the long run, so maybe during my downtime at work on Monday I'll fire it up and try the tutor

    @torpkev learning vi also helps when you have to ssh or accessing a server without gui (which most cloud computers do nowadays)
