So I just got rejected from a company I always wanted to worked and that paid almost best $$$$ among others. During the recruitment I was almost convinced I'd get hired (recruitment process was 4 months long). I cleared all the rounds in breeze. Yet I didn't get the offer. Now I'm sad.

I know someone who applied to be an analyst at a company, joined my company, was put on a project working for the first company on-site every day and then just over a year later got hired by the first company he applied for.
