Got curious about "Facebook Lite", found the app store page.. realized it's not available in the USA :(

@Karunamon yeah I hated the full battery eating, over zealous permissions of the full version. Shame you can't get lite (VPN maybe?).

@Karunamon just tested and I can download it in the us, so not sure what is happening on your end. It could be device specific restraints, even if it's could handle it well sometimes a device is accidentally whitelisted. Perhaps get the APK from a alternate source such as apps.evozi.com/apk-downloader
