What is that one technology/niche that YOU feel will have a major impact in the future?

Would be really interesting to know how different/similar our thoughts are on this subject.

I personally think digital prosthetics might become a huge thing given the revelation of Neuralink.

Hover boards, and not those dodgy fire combusting useless wheeled things some dumbass called a hover board.

Self hosted servers for private web services of any kind (chat, calls, video calls, cloud, websites) all under 1 owned domain.

Main issues nowadays are reliability (ups is a must, but not enough in every context), a 24h low power running server and ease of use and setup.

VR/AR/XR.

Don't start me with blockchain... BIIIITCONNEEEEEEECT!

Privacy friendly (especially anonymity and encryption) tools in general.

Not because that many people care about it but because due to the rapidly increasing privacy erosion everywhere, it'll become a necessity.
