From seeing what else that guy wrote I have to think he was serious when he wrote that. Not the most educated take on computers...

    It's a 2001 article...
With those definitions, all of us here can be considered as h@ck3r5.
Even my 12 yo nephew too.

Programming perl? Cryptonomicon? The cathedral and the bazaar? What the gigantic fuck? These are hacking MANUALS? This is absolute nonsense, written by someone who probably also believes that video games are responsible for mass shootings.

The comments are great though. They rip this dipshit apart. I'm surprised I didn't see this when it was made in 2001.

Okay, I think we've been had. Or at least I have. I am pretty sure upon a deeper read that this entire article is trolling.

    - Quake is an online virtual reality used by hackers.
    - BSD, Lunix, Debian and Mandrake are all versions of an illegal hacker operation system, invented by a Soviet computer hacker named Linyos Torovoltos.
    - may be involved in a hacking group, such as the infamous " Otaku" hacker association.

What girls can't be hacker's? And Bonzi Buddy, I missed the boat on that one apparently.
Reminds me of the time by grandmother forgot she had to connect to the internet before she could use the browser and since I was the closest to the computer I "broke the internet".
    Old people are funny sometimes.

"If your son spends more than thirty minutes each day on the computer, he may be using it to DOS other peoples sites. DOSing involves gaining access to the "command prompt" on other people's machines, and using it to tie up vital internet services."
