As a fellow sysadmin, I imagine their staff on duty suffering a massive spike in stress when this happens. How hard do you have to screw up that it brings your entire, multibilion platform down?

Maybe a regional server?
Those go down sometimes.

What really makes me angry is when Steam starts and all of the windows are just black. It's been happening on my macbook for months now. 😕

@AlgoRythm Yeah, I've experienced that infrequently. They usually come back up within half an hour or less.

@Jilano It's not that bad with Steam. You can play everything you downloaded, even if offline.
