@Mosesrocks it's up to the teacher/professor's discretion.
I've had some that would have given credit and some that wouldn't have.
Back when I was in 5th grade, they were trying out some new method of breaking down how to do the multiplication with like double and triple digit numbers, but it was fuckin stupid. So I did it my way (aka the normal way) and the teacher kept bitchin at me to do her retarded ass method. I'd always get half credit for problems bc I did it my way. I finally caved by the last two tests and did her stupid shit just bc my grade was taking a hit (and this shit of "new method" went beyond multiplication, it was in everything).
But I completely forgot everything by the time I got to 6th grade bc it was stupid and overly complicating a basic concept.
Gotta beat shit out of him
