Well done @StefanH :) I will too, in the near future!

@StefanH Same here, it's sad Sublime doesn't have any traction behind it, it was once unbeatable.

Quick tip: hit Escape instead of clicking Cancel. Faster this way !

(Note: I know Escape works in the Windows version of this pop-up. But never tried that on Linux myself)

Why don't you all use Atom instead!!? Its way more customizable and it will never bug you with this prompt
  • 9
@codeRetard Because Atom is slow, the fact you can make the cursor pulse different colours doesn't make it better.

Also, what is it with you guys being so damn persistent about using Atom, do you get commission or something?

@nblackburn I haven't had any issues with it so far, but then again I have been using it for about 4 months so far

Only reason I bought sublime is because it was a one time purchase and I wasn't limited to a single machine.... I have 4 computers total (5 soon) and hate paying for something I can only legally use on one.

Visual Studio Code, guys ... get over your Microsoft hate and give it a try ... it's really good 😊

Stop hitting cancel and you will feel good...Sublime is easily worth the 70 dollars!

    Vim? No? Okay

Would've been worth it a few years ago. These days I use vscode
But sublime still has got one thing going for it and that's speed. All the newcomers have +1 second slower startup. but I mostly use it for opening single files and think the others are better for project development

Buy it! I use it to make money and it's got a very low cost compared to other dev tools out there

@Paramite not sure if troll or not.... but yes.

@Paramite Miles better but development is slow

Although it's an annual charge rather than one off, consider webstorm. A full ide instead of just an editor. https://jetbrains.com/webstorm/buy/...

@codeRetard Try opening a file larger than 5 mb in Atom and it shows to a crawl.

Yes, there are text files larger than 5 mb(a dump of JSON data, for instance).

I promise I will buy it one day!

Oh yea I remember that feeling...
Then I switched to Atom. To slow.
Now I'm using vscode. And I'm in love! And nope: I don't like Microsoft! Most of the vscode devs are using Mac so it's not a very "Microsofty" thing ;)
