So I through those days were long gone, and today ticket that functionality doesn't work in Edge.

Fuck, I had a similar experience with something that shouldn't have been an issue lately.

Luckily edge is being chopped and they're just giving you chrome from the get-go

In my experience pretty much everything I did on Chrome worked on Edge (at worst with core.js). Safari and FF on the other hand were much harder to fix, because the problem was never just a lack of support for some new feature, it was usually something related to internal rendering pipeline or a non-standard implementation in the browser.
