Just collecting your stuff and returning the company's stuff so you never have to return

@electrineer that's what I thought. A month notice should have been enough time to plan for my departure and not require my hours for an extended 12 hour day.

Going without overtime. Offering that if they want to rent you now that the contract has ended, it will be five times your previous hourly rate. Quit the building if they think that's too much.

The last day is supposed to be 4 hours long, consisting of 2 hours of cleaning up the work place, one hour dinner paid for by the boss including a heart warming speech about how much you meant to the development of the company since you joined, and finally one hour of sentimental walking around hugging coworkers and promising to keep in touch.
Either that or what you said. -
VaderNT16345y"They are not happy that I decided to go to bed after a 12 hour day instead of pulling an all nighter helping."
That made me laugh, thanks. Your employment ended after 8 hours on your last day, period. You have every right to get up from your seat and leave the building for good.
They're not happy an ex-employee isn't working any more? Tough shit. Tell them they can fire you if they're unhappy with your performance. 😉
What's a last day on the job suppose to be like?
I'm sure it's not working until 2am helping the company finalize a project. They are not happy that I decided to go to bed after a 12 hour day instead of pulling an all nighter helping.
