Listen hear you little prick, you want to call me a whiny dick eaten bit h for being a Star Wars loving dev, then flop that fucking thing out already!

On another note, we not all that bad are we?

@AleCx04 oh, I haven't even seen it yet 🤷‍♂️guess I'm not fanboy enough.

@AleCx04 personally I don't hate on them because they're "not Star Wars any more" or "not true to the originals" or whatever, but because they're just...badly constructed movies. It's just anaemic at best and shoddily done at worst (eg. misuse of bathos in The Last Jedi, as some YouTuber pointed out).

It's the difference between hating on a language/toolset vs hating on a badly written codebase (what I'm talking about). I'm sure you'll agree that a poorly written codebase with spaghetti architecture and no maintainability is anything from annoying to downright frustrating. Similarly, the new Star Wars trilogy.

@RememberMe brother I respect your input like you have no idea and I can agree that the last 3 films leave much to be desired in terms of what they do to the entire universe that is Star Wars. I just dislike that I can't enjoy the films without having some cheeto stinking-non-vagina-knowing-fat-obsessed fan boy give me shit for being ok with the films. To me the story is expandable af George Lucas creates such a unique and huge universe that can be made expanded from books, games etc etc and for me to say that i like the movies and have someone give me shit for it is just funny.

@AleCx04 welcome to the new world, where if it wasn't the original, it's not good enough.

I enjoyed the last decade of films and the side movies.

@AleCx04 I accept that and felt the same issue with people. People literally were complaining about kilo ren withstanding a wave of water. I was "really that's your issue, that's your border to this dosn't make sense?"

@AleCx04 fair enough, that can get pretty annoying yeah.

Have you played the Knights of the Old Republic games? (KOTOR 1 and 2)

Probably my favourite take on Star Wars *ever*, they really explored the concepts from the movies in depth (rather than just plugging them in for nostalgia's sake) and had so many good characters and such good writing and worldbuilding. You can tell it's done by people who genuinely wanted to expand upon Lucas' vision and take it as far as it could go philosophically and in terms of storytelling.
