People, I have a question.
What is the dress code working for companies? or I can dress freely?

I ask during interviews.

It's completely dependent on the company. Culture varies massively from one workplace to the next. I've worked in places where more formal attire is required and where I am now has no rules whatsoever about what you wear.

@Axel1011111 yeah it's fine to ask that. I Had an interview once where the whole company building and all the staff I saw were giving off "Big-Business"-vibes. EVERYONE either wore a full suit or business dress. Since I didn't own a suit a the time (and didn't wear one for the interview) I asked what the dress code was. I was basically told "well, no, but actually yes, but not really, so no, but the boss likes to See everyone being well Dressed so you should, but you'll get used to it so don't worry. When it's hot for example we don't mind all the guys loosening their ties so you see it's not bad. I really like fancy suits".
Since then I always ask that just to make sure I'm Not gonna end up with people who would despise me for wearing normal clothes

I assume everywhere has a business casual dress code, so it's dresses and docs everyday for me. Bc lazy.

@Axel1011111 When you are in an interview they are not just interviewing you. You are interviewing them. So bring your own questions.

@Axel1011111 in those cases in which the, proper attire is out of the question we would sometimes choose to ignore it. When I say out of the question is:

if the person in question comes from hard times and does not the money to dress properly for an interview we would consider their situation and move on.

But we are required at my institution to dress in business attire for interviews and as much we expect the person being interviewed to do the same.

For work it seems that we don't give a flying fuck. I do dress as properly as I can, I normally wear black jeans(slim cut cuz I never liked baggy clothes) a buttoned shirt(tight fit as well) and my shoes are typically on the brogue with a high cut, chelsea even depending on my mood, I also like docs(a lot) my hair is the classic slicked back, pretty long on the top and short af on the sides, no one seems to have no problem. We can even have piercings but I chose not to.
