How do you cope with that fleeting feeling of loneliness that comes up from time to time

Had kids. They never leave me alone unless they're being bad or sleeping.

    Real talk:
I would hang out with friends, either irl or online.
Also found a partner. Before those, I resorted to alcohol and competitive games, and alcohol and nightclubs. I got good at both, but neither actually helped; they just made my loneliness worse.

@Root those were the days, amazing how much kids fill the void.

Smoking weed tends to work well for me. Not for everyone.

I'll be honest, listen to music while I drink hard liquor.

This happens to me sometimes. What I did today was going to the movie theater instead of keep going with work.

Chat up online friends? Share porn or news articles, discuss philosophy, politics, tech, anything under the sun basically.
The internet makes it *so much* easier to find people with common interests, and they help fill in that void in one's heart; But try to network offline too! The emotional return for close friends you can physically reach can be much greater ;)
