Why are most (cloud-based) websites failing? They just spew out 5xx HTTP errors all the time. I can't even register properly on a website anymore. What the funk, man.

    Overload. Too many people with free time spamming their servers. Many videogames have seen a massive increase in playercounts etc.

    @EdoPhoenix A bit disgraceful. You would think that professional cloud services would have load balancing..

    Loadbalancing only spreads the load across the servers you have, it doesn't magically create new ones for you and more importantly, it doesn't add more bandwidth to the datacenter(s).

    All cloud providers are selling more resources than they have since they don't expect everyone to use 100% of the resources they've paid for all the time, when usage of online services goes up, shit inevitably goes down.
