Ubuntu vs. Arch old thingie stuff....

Some people enjoy building Arch up themselves?

Never used it, but I guess it interesting to see how it works ubuntu is great too cuts out a lot of the low level stuff so you can get up and running quickly.

If you just want a prebuilt unix system that you don't want full control over get a Mac!

haha, i'm still in the process of configuring my arch, this is pretty accurate, but it's still worth the trouble. what's the point of using linux if you can't snob about it anyway :D

jokes aside, i'm in for the purpose of having to learn linux internals, and enjoy some personalization. some say you can learn new things and be comfortable at the same time but no, let's be honest that just doesn't happen.
