carlos4178y@elDeth been eyeing the XPS range for a while. I just really wanted to give MacOS a go, but I don't like compromising they are very expensive things and the latest ones are a joke for anyone who wants to be productive imo.

xios16438ycan't go wrong with lenovo t or x series. Been using them for years. Main driver is this years t460s and loving it. Backup is T420 from waaaay back. The golden part is that you can upgrade and change allmost every part. Broke your keyboard? No prob. 2 screws and 30 bucks and you have a brand new spankin keyboard.
Need more storage? No problem. Buy a cdslot adapter for that second SSD. Broke your screen? No problem. 50bucks and 20 minutes and its replaced. The modularity of ThinkPads is awesome and in the long run you save the extra you paid for a "businessline" machine. It is still cheaper than MacPoops. -
@DLMousey Thanks for that. I'd seen the touch sensitive bar gimmick but didn't realise that they failed to include an Escape key. That's horrible. Also, I saw today, no MacBook Air updates.

So the choices will be between the tiny MacBook or the expensive (even at lower end) MacBook Pro? That's rubbish!
And here I was thinking I would finally give in and buy a Macbook Pro... Anyone got recommendations? Apple messed up for us developers...
