Well, my first thought is that tool when used inappropriately indeed is a pain in ass. Why would you make blog on Ionic in the first place?
Oh and by the way, I find Vuetify very promising, be it blog, shop or enterprise application :) -

Pros: its nice general story about your personal expierence, presents a problem and the solution you choose. You show your insights regarding: Maintenance and improvements.
Cons: Lack of depth in details, and comparisons to other solutions. Little to none mentions about performance, testing, and other benchmarking. -
@vintprox I use ionic for the UI. Components, they are really easy to use, and they look good.
