Can we get a "whiny edgy crybaby rambling" category?
Because that's where all your shit over github belongs.

    No worries, in few weeks no one's gonna remember it ;)

    @Pyjong sure hope so.

    Github was yesterday. Committing one's code to Twitter is the hot shit!

    I don’t use github, I host my own shit instead. Am I a lowly jackass that won’t survive the winter?

    @molaram Nah, you're like your own hipster subclass
  • 2
    @Jilano so I’m like the only one in the known universe not using github?

    As if being concerned about something going on in the industry you work in is "edgy crybaby rambling"

    Grow up

    @odite yeah its not like they decided to fold overnight or just tripped on some wires and lost everyone’s shit.

    @odite
    Github renaming the default created Branch from master to main sure is something to be concerned about.
    Nearly as much, as when your local supermarket suddenly decided to place the cola 2 meters to the side from their original spot.
    The audacity.

    @molaram nope, I use GitLab for 99% of my projects.

    I want to see code loss and downtime due to failed CI jobs and startup CTO tears. I want to say “I told you so” again.

    @molaram Probably even beyond the veil, yes.

    @metamourge If the store were to rename a product to "end racism", better known as bending the knee to the outrage mob, I would be concerned what they could force into the terms of service.

    The Linux kernel coc are one such example.

    Those with all the money and power, like MS, should actually fund BLM rather than pretending to support it with such insignificant, superficial actions. This is the infuriating part.

    @Lor-inc No, they shouldn't fund BLM radicals. They could rather fund some schooling projects in black ghettos to help the kids towards a non-criminal career. Not even dev-centered - crafts like electricians would also be a good thing.

    Because the real reason why disproportionately many black people are shot by police in action or are in prison is because black people commit disproportionately many severe crimes like armed robbery and murder.

    And that's because by the time they turn 18, their life has already gone down the gutter.

    Given the societal consequences, it would be smarter for society to invest early on to prevent this from happening instead of building and running ever more prisons.

    Can we get a "ignorant SJW shoes licking" category? Because that's where this rants belongs.
    As the shit they get wasn't deserved.

    how do i removed laser-burned labels from my ide cables? They're racist and i need to wash them clean of their sins.

    @CodeTalker but it's 6 letters. It's not a big deal, you shouldn't really care that much

    @pxeger If you think I'm mad only at a terminological change, you missed the whole point.
    The reason why most of us are hating on this change is not about the change itself but the reason why it's being changed, especially what's behind it
    And, just in case you ate too much of the "muh inclusiveness" shit talks, it has nothing to do with being inclusive. It's just marketing bullcrap, distracting us from real problems, and instead pleasing absolute morons living out of reality. But peoples like @Fast-Nop explained that better than I could do. I advise you to see his last reply of this comment thread as well as other past rants about this problem.

    To sum up, that's not about the change of a 6 fucking letters word, it's about the intellectual felony behind it

    @pxeger And just in case you were worried for me, don't. I'm fine, none of my nerves burned from that, thank you :)
