@M1sf3t Hi there. Did you generate that opinion using Math.random()?

There are highly respectable devs from India, also here on devRant.

That said, there are more aspects, but these are the most relevant ones for this topic:

    - There is no dev career in India. If a good dev wants to make money, he has to quit being dev as soon as possible and become manager, which eliminates good devs both for production and mentoring (as well as ranting). This is also the number one killer for Indian SW development in general.

    - A lot of Indian "devs" are neither willing nor able to be devs, but their families pressured them into that career path. They don't care about tech. They just want to muddle through and stay clueless.

    - The Indian culture is not as hardcore-Asian as Japan, but still involves being shy of conflict and communicating rather indirectly. This in turn is at odds with the whole point of this platform, namely fucking rants. (Re)posting some shit memes seems like a way of onboarding that doesn't take them out of their comfort zone.

I do agree with you we single handedly destroyed Quora

I joined this platform in 2016 , it was pure
Now when I logged in after like 2-3 years i saw memes flooding my feed.
i had a WTF face !! i think these are the new kids !! Even European and kids from states also do that shit quit often.
It’s just for every 1 US kid we have like 100 indian kids so things get amplified

@M1sf3t Ideally, you have five Indians, one Russian, one German, and one American in the team:

The Russian contributes super clever ideas to code. The German nitpicks about style, convention, and robustness. The Indians do the actual work. And the American does the marketing.

@Ranchu Yeah, but with your marketing talent, you could pass for American. Or maybe even as Russian if you're a code genius and can down a bottle of vodka.
  • 3
@Jilano @Fast-Nop I appreciate the glorious feedback comrades.
I'm probably very much non-american and also non-russian, since I can't just simply down a bottle of transparent goodness and still code.

@Jilano ah yes, gun laws in Germany.
But, I definitely gotta do the yee-haw thing at some point.
