    Here's what works for me:

    Chocolate.
    Herbs that help, like rhodiola and St. John's wart.
    Go outside for awhile; does not matter why.
    Snuggle in a fuzzy blanket with music.
    More chocolate.
    Books/games/distractions until I feel slightly okay.
    Make or build something I can be proud of.
    Look at what I've made.
    Apply whatever energy I've regained to making things better, or towards what I need to accomplish.

    Repeat as often as necessary.

    I know that sporting is the last thing you think about while in a depression but running does magic. Some cold showers as well. In my experience, talking about it doesn't help at all. You probably just need a good win / a change
