Sup sup. I was wondering which of you AngularJS ( angular 2 ) devs would recommend the framework in its current state. If you had to start your prpject right now all over again would you use AngularJS again or switch ?

In the state ng2 is right now, I'd use it just for the biggest projects. If the project is small I'd choose ng1. Ng2 needs a lot of setup stuff and the advantages it gives (over ng1) are only noticeable in bigger projects. Ng1 has a fast setup and is beastly enough to handle small yet complete projects.

I'm interested in people's thoughts on this as I am about to embark on learning some web stuff to complement my winforms

I'd go with angular 2 either way. The cli makes it trivially easy to set up a project and, in my opinion, it's a lot easier to learn if you're new to the angular world.
