Fuck it, after playing around with languages for awhile I decided I’m gonna make the switch from Java to Go. I feel like Java was nice to learn with but now I wanna try out some new tech for building API’s and micro-services.

@frogstair I think it’s pretty neat so far! I can’t wait to make something cool with it once the weekend hits.

Why not both? Micronaut makes java way better for those classes of applications.

@SortOfTested or Quarkus. I'm always a bit baffled when people mention "switching" languages as though they're moving from one, to another, and can never go back to the first one. It's not like moving house - come and go as you please!

But sure, Go is a good language to give a... Go. I'll see myself out.

@AlmondSauce I appreciated that pun lol, and you’re totally right! There’s no downside to coming back to other languages for solving different problems, I just wanted to give go a go XD
