@Raspik aha! have any tips for a new open uni CS student?
  • 1
@kimailis From one Open Uni CS student to another...(Seriously) You should have started from specialized courses.. All of my work mates say that it was tough for them to find work after Uni. If you have time and money (Shit you'll need it) take a specialized course in C#\Java\PHP (One you like more. There's a ton of work for Java and PHP. Less for C#) and start working freelance while you study it will give you a fuckton of experience. Working small jobs for reasonable pay on sites like : X-place and freelancer.com or Guru. If you're a Russian(You're lucky! Russians a swimming in freelance jobs and info) you can work freelance for slavic countries(Russia\Ukraine\Czech Rep.) While you're at it look for a normal dev job. It will take some time before you find anything.. It took me over a year to get my first job. And while you work.. continue doing your CS studies.
