Don't you guys think devRant should have option to follow any user, so that u never miss a rant from that fellow ??

    I think the common feed is better imo, because posts from a newbie and a long time devRanter have the same weightage, and can be viewed by everyone without any preferential bias.
    Anyways, if the rant is good enough, it'll surely get lots of ++, so no worries about that. 😛

    @shauryachats @ebourgess yeah right ..but have u guyz used quora, it allows you to follow a profile to get connected to their post and also the deserved answers get the views of all...

    The fact that I can't even see who wrote a rant in the feed suggests that this is not a feature that would ever be implemented on devRant. However, there are a few in here that consistently write stuff that makes my days better, and I would LOVE to follow anything they write.
    Maybe the act of following could be made silent, so that an author will not get notified of any followers. Maybe that would be sufficient to stifle any fan-whoring amongst acknowledgment junkies. The last thing any of us would want is to turn this into twitter, right?
