    I will use light themes for the most part, but for code I will use dark themes because I like the text contrasting with the background (which should be dark with a bit of gray mixed in.)

    Also, I cannot really read the article text without squinting like there's no tomorrow

    One word: OLED.

    It would be great if those texts criticising decisions regarding readability and stressing the brain, would not have other readability issues such as an ultra thin font.

    This doesn't invalidate the argument of the text, but hurts the subjective trustworthiness.

    Sick and can barely stay awake.

    TLDR version?

    @Lamka that was interesting! Cool

    @Root An explanation as to why light themes are better than dark ones really.

    @EDragon And welcome to this awesome place!

    @Root a weak argument using the Pulfrich effect (darker images are processed more slowly by the human brain) and minute differences that people with astigmatisms may experience.

    No solid, strong argument. just a couple very small and weak ones.

    Discussing light and dark theme without mentioning ambient lighting is useless.
