- sharp
- hash
- square
- Parallel
- octophorp
- crosshatch
- connected sum

But commonly referred to as " hash " without context.

Just checked messages on my phone. The automated voice system refers to the # as a pound sign in the message. So I guess in the phone world it is actively being called pound.

@d4ng3r0u5 American typewriters and keyboards had the # sign instead of the british pound sign. Confusion.
