@theabbie only if the post is explicitly against our rules (https://devrant.com/rules) or blatantly miscategorized. Comments are not for expressing opinion that something shouldn’t be posted or that you just don’t like it. That’s what the voting buttons are for.

@dfox Saying that post is bad or giving opinion should not be considered rude or against the policy, By opinion I mean what people think about it. I understand what purpose downvote button serves, but opinions on post without attacking personally should not be a problem.

@theabbie you’re misunderstanding. You can express an opinion ex. “I disagree with the premise of this post” but that is very different from “I hate seeing this type of post, stop posting it.”

One is expressing an opinion, the other is trying to be loud and censor other people because you think your opinion about what should/shouldn’t be posted deserves more than 1 vote.

@dfox That's Fair, Also we should make rule to ignore OP if he intentionally tries to provoke people for argument, rather than fulfilling his wish of a heated argument.
