    This should be easy to fix. Whenever esc is pressed in normal mode, vim should've displayed "type :q! to close this editor" or something like that somewhere in the editor.

    @Orionss You could try emacs with vim ky bindings

    ESC :w //Save
    ESC :q //Exit
    ESC :wq //Save and exit
    ESC :!q //forcefully exit.
