I am a fucking moron for not getting to docker soon enough. Should have started udied it and built dev environments (at the least) for years.

I think it was another user here is that recommend some tutorials heyheni...I should have listened to you sooner bro

    Knocking down those walls one at a time. Soon you'll have an open plan dev kitchen 😋

    @SortOfTested my dev pozole will be a hit

    I concur.

    I'm late to the party, too.

    And although Docker doesn't suck like in the beginning, looking at some of the bad surprises I hit currently...

    It's still a rotten apple. It became better, it survived many attempts to kill it, it spawned itself into several subprojects...

    I'm kinda happy being late to the party... A lot of meh stuff and bullets avoided.

    And looking at the overall picture, I still dislike docker. A lot of it is the epitome of cluster fuck.

    Hm. Sadly no real competition.

    @AleCx04 cool 😊

    I think it was Katacoda i recommended to you. It has been recently acquired by O'Riley.

    Docker is weird and looks arcane.
    I have to use it right now and I don't like it.

    @heyheni thanks bro!

    @iiii y'all probably using it far more than than I am.

    I managed to create a couple of isolated envs for me, my guys and the dba and we all appreciated how easy it was to just get into it amd work without possibility of fucking up the entire global system.

    @AleCx04 I haven't used it much at all.

    docker is great for a very little set of functionalities, but everybody heard that idk elon musk used docker once and now they want to dockerize their moms ashes and that makes me mad

    @yellow-dog agreed, which is why I am merely doing sma dev environments, I don't think I want to get into the whole orchestration of a fuckload of isolated containers and sh like that.

    @yellow-dog is dockerised mom's ass sort of a "stuck in a wall" thing?

    I love Docker. Really opens opportunities for enhanced local dev, testing, CI and hosting
