Are emacs users really be like polishing their configs for years, for decades even? Emacs users of devrant, do you really end up with an ide that is more efficient than anything else? Is it worth it?

    I use DOOM Emacs, which is better than spacemacs imho to get a quick Evil Emacs up and running.

    Ofcourse I heavily customised it but defaults are really good. Try it.

    Yes. My buddy works with emacs. Has a config that he synchronizes everywhere. Tweaks it every day to his liking.

    I suppose I'm no different with my Vim config. I'm incredibly efficient with it.
