@F1973 I saw your post and I am sorry for not tagging right, had a really long day :3

@lamka02sk I am using a laptop constantly running Xcode which is a RAM guzzler with 8 GBs of RAM without a single hitch dude
-
@OmerFlame Your SSD hates you (probably). My RAM usage is normally around 10-13GB, I wouldn't survive with 8GB. DataGrip (2GB), PHPStorm (2.5GB), Firefox (2GB), Thunderbird (500MB), Slack (300MB), Skype (200MB) + some "smaller" stuff like Docker, NextCloud, Apache, PHP, MySQL, Node.js (Webpack is a fucking hog), Tresorit, sometimes Steam. Well...fuck

@lamka02sk It’s honestly responsive lol.
Though RAM dependency highly fluctuates from workload to workload. In your case... I would recommend 32 gigs, just to be sure that nothing would interrupt you because that is a LOT of programs.
In my case, I have lots of windows open but in highly optimized apps that reduce memory load and create lots of cache since it’s in their design to work like that. I can see why 8 gigs of RAM doesn’t appeal to you, honestly. For me it’s fine. -
@OmerFlame
At this point, I can't consider anything less than 64gb for my normal dev stack. I could get away with less, but it would come at the cost of strangling my containers and localstack. -
@SortOfTested it highly depends on the workload. I would fully understand if you needed more RAM, I just don’t so the new MacBooks have a use case for me at least :D

I don’t know why, but until now there’s been nothing to rant about (at least in my private life).
Crazy excited for ARM MacBooks though
