    I'm sorry but you seem to have confused CyanogenMod and Cyanogen Inc. The former is a community of developers that works on the CyanogenMod ROM for various phones. The latter is a company that commericalized the ROM as Cyanogen OS and had it pre-installed on phones like the OnePlus One.
    Although Cyanogen Inc has announced shut down of their services, the CyanogenMod community will continue to build ROMs for phones so you have nothing to worry. Those using Cyanogen OS (pre installed) simply have to switch to the CyanogenMod update channel to continue receiving updates.

    @tild3
    Nope, they are shutting down their servers by 31st, nightlies will stop by then. Removal of build targets for has already been suggested in CM gerrit. Cyanogenmod mod source will remain for anybody else to build but will probably not be updated (so what's the use in building heh).

    On the other hand lineageOs git is in sync with CM, that will be updated probably.

    @boo1997 I see. My bad. Must just be my unwillingness to switch that's doing the talking :P
    Just read about Lineage. So its basically the same thing 😋

    WHAT THE FUCK?

    What a misleading thread.

    Cyanogenmod will still exist.

    @drRoss that's what I said

    At least my old S2 gets Lineage love now :)
  • 2
    @drRoss No it won't. Cyanogen Inc owns the copyrights and have very explicitly said they are no longer going to spend a penny on Cyanogenmod. They are shutting down all the build servers on the 31st.

    Cyanogen himself said he is going to work on Lineageos.

    See here for details: https://xda-developers.com/the-deat...
