Rant???

Another recrutment process...

I got an IQ test to even be allowed to have a tech interview in a foreign language. After doing it, the recuruiter went back saying that my results are average and there where candidates with higher score...

Now should I be offended or happy that I'm an averagely inteligent developer?

@RazorSh4rk For a Ruby gig I had questions about graph thory, Java specific patterns (abstraction factory). I had to live code i an hour the minesweeper game. Recite why a db transaction is ACID and explain how clustered indexing work. Today after the soft skill interview, the company informed me that they are looking for RoR devs with at least 7 to 10 years of exp. (Rails released in 2004).

I'm just tired with dumb ass questions not relating to the job you are applying for. Prooving nothing but the interviewers ego.

Recruiter spent like 20 minutes going on about all of the "cutting edge" requirements required for an iOS role. He then asked if I would take an aptitude test to see if I would be a "good fit". It was a test on iOS 4. This was in October of this year. Cutting edge.

@Letmecode I know but expecting Ruby and Rails questions on a tech interview is something that didin't happen very often :)
