What's totally overlooked at is, captions are only meant to give a hint. The user still has to interpret the art or image and feel that and that would easily cross 100s of words

@asgs and even that has a range. “Ravens American football player” is a lot fewer words than “American football player in a deep purple shirt, white leggings and purple football helmet”, but the first one requires the reader to be familiar with what a ravens football player looks like
