To avoid updating your copyright dates on every website, write them with javascript.

    I have my PHP check the last modified time of the files and prints out the most recent month and year as the copyright.

    Ah... but then timezones matter. If the client is a few hours behind the server, the copyright year will wrong and then there'll be all sorts of legal hell to pay or all sorts of opportunities for piracy to go unpunished.

    I may have over-thought that.

    @samk if its generated client-side the timezone will be that of the client ^^

    I mean if my time was set to 2011 it would use that... You mean server side code right, then it's fine?
