Oh my God. How do you deal with your non technical scrum master?
Mine drives me up the wall and I just have no way to deal with them whatsoever!!!!

Does yours also say 10 sentences worth of words, when they can easily say it in 15 words or less in detail???

"I tried to register an account and I got this error could you check what's wrong and maybe fix it if you have time? If you don't have time it's OK but I just get this error when I try to register and so I can't make an account so it's kind of important so if you have time please take a look okay because i think it doesnt work properly and nobody will be able to make an account. But maybe if it's not too difficult how long would this take to fix? Will you be able to fix it today? Because I can't make an account"

    maybe triple this.

BTW the error? An unformatted error with codes and stuff and in the middle of it, in ALL CAPS, "EMAIL ALREADY EXISTS"

AND I TOLD HER THIS 3 FUCKING TIMES BEFORE. YOUR ACCOUNT ALREADY EXISTS FFUCK

Good scrum masters don't need to be technical. Unfortunately for every one good scrum master who understands exactly what the role is, there are 999 who just think they are a project manager who knows better than the technical team members and shits all over them.

In my time, working in various companies, with varying interpretations of agile, I have worked with exactly 2 scrum masters who did the job properly, neither of them were technical.

@broseph Yup, I've only delt with technical scrum masters and product owners tho.

@nibor Totally agree, SM/PO need not be technical. But some managements feel they should not be technical. They choose non technical over technical for these roles.
