Didn't get to the next interview stage because of "culture fit" 😔
What does that even mean?

    Huh? What is that all about?

    @Jumpshot44 I've had it in a couple of interviews. Who knows man... In my humble opinion I'm a pretty chill dude.

    If they think you're too formal or shy compared to the rest of the team for example. It's usually used when they don't want you but don't want to say it directly.

    @angelorm Yeah, I'm in no way formal or shy though 😀 But you're right, it's just a generic way of saying no.
    I've never used it when I hire people though. I don't consider it useful feedback, as it's not something a person can ever improve on.
    It's better to just say that you've gone with another candidate.

    It's a frathouse mentality. Don't let it bother you too much

    Well, you wouldn't want to work for companies like that anyway...

    Don't sweat it, you'll find somewhere you fit fine 😊 I once had a 5 stage interview process for an internship where I got to the final stage and they told me that I needed to do more internships to be suitable?!?!?

    While I think culture fit can be an appropriate gauge of how well a prospective employee can fit in, I think it's a bullshit reason for rejection. Why couldn't they just say they went with another candidate like everyone else and save you the self doubt? I'm sorry, keep pushing and you'll get a job with a company that's even better!!!

    @Tolo137 wow that sucks

    I had the same thing happen to me. It's bullshit, I didn't even do anything wrong in the interview. I'm glad they did, though, because the job I have now kicks ass.
