Android fanboys are equivalent to Windows fanboys. Both use garbage software and tell others it’s the norm.

Now, I’m not saying that these operating systems do not have their advantages, but from the perspective of an average joe or just basic use-cases, those pros are invisible or incomparable.

@yehaaw Ubuntu for mobile! I've always thought it's still a choice between Android, Apple or something like Windows..
But wouldn't that still require you to purchase an android phone to then overwrite android with Ubuntu?

@yehaaw completely ignoring the obvious market share and support and app and device and driver and technology advantages that Android has, by your own logic, it doesn't matter to the average Joe what OS they use, so why would they care about Ubuntu mobile? Android does everything they want.

Plus I tried ubports via the pinephone and apart from being libre-ish I don't really see any advantage to it. Android is quite pleasant to hack around (with root access). I'm no fan of binary blobs but ubuntu touch doesn't solve that anyway.

@RememberMe @NEMESISprj Read my original rant. I’m not suggesting to use Ubuntu or that it is better to do so or even makes sense. I was saying, that android is garbage. In my case, I’m comparing user experience and overall software polish between android and ios, windows and macos.
