11 months to develop our own game engine and a game using it, tools etc with almost any knowledge about c++, 4 programers and 3 artists. I've been working from 8am to 23pm, 7 days a weeek for 10 months + lots of days without sleep more than 3h because we had milestones. Hardest shit I have done ever. Here's the result, all images are in game https://m.youtube.com/watch/...

Thank you guys! We did a lot of rants in the way! Too bad we didn't know this app back then.

Why couldn't you use an existing engine?

@kwilliams because is one of the laws of the master I did. They teach you how everything works. We used existing things, like nvidia physx libraries, directx11, wwise for audio... It's imposible you do all that too unless you are rockstar

    So sick, you killed it

I agree. That is fantastic work. Congrats.

Wow! Thanks people! I hope you can play it, it's not very optimized, so it needs a very nice computer and graphic card

Now that's some code to be proud of!

It's a character building thing. Shows you what you are made of.Or not.

wow! awesome! Did you use any open source tools...?

@vegadev this was a student final project. Actually, I paid to do the master. <- count this as a rant

@kaloxy yep, as much as we could. Physx (is now open source), cal3D, bass (later replaced by wwise), imGui. The rest (except for directx) was home made

@vegadev people dping the witcher 3 worked that much for a year, no extra hours money at all. Some of them did that for almost 2 years. You should not work extra time for free. I mean, sometimes you just have to, like when closing a project, but not on a daily basis. You are missing live to make someone rich.
