Sister: (she must migrated from iOS to android) you can download these apps and then you can change like colors and themes and everything 😍😱😵
Me: Yeah off course you can...?
Sister: Oh not, oh no, you're not going to tell me you've been able to do this for years?!?
Me: Uhm... Yes...?
Sister: 😵😭😱😭

This isn't an apple-hate-rant, this is an actual event which says enough, my friend 😂

But I have to come clean ... 30th of January, I'm switching to Apple for once. Just need to know the differences on a long term base 😇

Ah yes. I honestly love android, all the fun stuff you can do on it; I remember when I was 16 I setup a Terminal based VM that could run Backtrack 5 on it (thanks to its ARM support).
I do have an iPad how ever, only cause I got it for free. One of the worst things I find with iOS is the lack of fluidity throughout the OS. Their notification system, quick toggles, notification drop down, multitasking system, keyboard support, cross application support, is a complete mess compared to Androids (not to mention lack of any native file explorer support). Why the hell can't I pick which app I want to use when performing a specific task? Why does it always default to apples apps? Hell it's my device, at least give me more control over the device.
I'm happy having apps open a few milliseconds slower on average from my Android if it means I have a much more capable device.

@nicnaknic Thanks for that story! Apps opening slower on androjd, that's new for me :)

    Typically milliseconds slower @linuxxx
Its not noticeable for most apps, games on android typically take longer to boot up (often by a few seconds), how ever system apps are around the same, give or take a few on either OS's. The one default app that i find always opens faster on Android is the Play store over the App store. Not sure why but the App store is incredibly slow to start, even on the latest iPhones.

@mpotratz oh yes I recall when that happened. Or when they got live wallpapers.... But only like, 4 that Apple provided and no one used.

My kid's mom came to me one day and says "Hey! This new iOS update I just got is pretty awesome! I can put these things called widgets on my home screen." I just stared at her for a few moments before pointing out that she could do that on the Android phone she had 5 years ago.
