I work for Google and Facebook.

Well... is that really true?

Uh... well, does a cow work for a farmer?

Hmmm... not really voluntarily... the cow just kinda gets milked and then the farmer sells its milk.

Yeah. That’s what I do. They milk me for my attention - and then they sell that to corporate advertisers.

Yeah... Hmmm... well, I guess you do work for them... but you don’t get paid...

I can still put it on my resume though, right?

We all work for them, but some workers are more equal than others

"I'm milked by Google and Facebook."

You don't get paid, but you do get to use their services. It's not a fair trade, but it is a trade. We can choose to stop trading at any time... oh wait we're addicted. Does that mean that... yep, we all need therapy

    Alternatives to Google:
    Ecosia
    DuckDuckGo

@eo2875 those are alternatives to Google Search. There's a lot more to the whole Google platform that's often overlooked by people trying to cut Google out from their lives.

@RememberMe yeah. People still use YouTube... and gmail... and their other favorite apps run on a Google server or use fire base... on and on...

I would rather work in Google, so it seems that I do not share your point of view

@ElsaAvend bonus points if you can clearly outline the position and daily tasks you might do there.

Extra bonus points if you can concisely explain “what Google does”
