hasu23184yCongratulations!!! It would be a dream to have so much more space. We are working on it but it will still be a while.

Crost40754y@JFK422 new build in the UK. About £500 a month mortgage. £10k deposit.
Not that big a deal no? -
jaylord4514y@craig939393 not bad. You sure its not built on top of a haunted graveyard?
Welcome to the club of home owners! 🤩 -
Banele7314yCongradulations man. That's my goal as well. I'm actually saving up 80% of my salary. I hate debts, hence I'm saving that much. I don't have kids or any heavy responsibilities. Next year I'm planning on buying myself a house.

Crost40754y@Maer 30. Not gonna lie its a long time. I am not looking at it like that though.
My thinking is I could pay rent instead (actually more expensive but less deposit), but instead I'm building equity. I will never get that mortgage paid off and fully own my house. Instead I will sell it in 5+ years and use the equity to buy another house (about £80,000 deposit from equity). Eventually I will own a house outright, but I put that from my mind and focus on my money going somewhere unlike previously. -
Maer16884yAh alright, thanks for sharing.
You gotta keep maintenance cost in mind when assuming you can just replace rent cost 1:1, but I mean, that's obvious and I expect you did all those calculations.
Enjoy the house! :)
