In Perl or Java, write a scraper and bot that can log into your banks website.

This is not a "hack" per se, but will get you familiar with some hacking, or at least "botting" tools.

From there, refactor and send your bot around looking for weak logins (like old WP logins) or some other WP zero day, or SQL injection or XSS vulnerable page or whatever tf.

Hack your neighbors wifi (or maybe go buy a wifi router or your own and figure out how to hack it.)

Understand though that a lot of hacking is just being an old school con.

Yeah, maybe you can spend days hacking a wifi router, but 95% of the time they're still using the password from the sticker on the bottom.

Somebody leaves their laptop open? Go to FB, use the "password to text" trick in dev tools. You have their FB now. Is their email using the same password?

Get maxbulk mailer and spam out some phish? Drop some flash drives in a parking lot?

It's basically gain access to server a, find a way to access server b, and so on and so forth and build a swarm to DDoS the tougher ones.

for a time waster, they're not bad.

EDIT: Took a closer look, I'll buy Dyson Sphere Program instead. Building complex stuff is just more up my alley.
