How do you know it's the right time to switch jobs? I don't hate my current job, but I don't love it anymore either. Considering starting to passively look for a new opportunity, but I don't want to make the wrong move.😕

Passively looking is healthy. That you enjoy your job will make you even more attractive to prospective companies.
You will know if that perfect job is presented. Just weigh all factors. Money is not everything. Happiness is very important.

Yeah, I actually started this company in support after college and then moved into development over a year ago. I feel like it's been hard to wholly shed the "support" identity here even though my productivity is greater than most other junior devs here.

If you're not being challenged it's time to move

it never hurts to react to job offers. just make sure to set expectations right. tell them that you're not intending to switch jobs at the moment, but that their company looks cool and you want to come and talk. kinda like networking. it's good to have companies on your radar, but it's good for those companies to know you as well. g never know what the future might bring.
