When I was in seventh grade, I learned to solve quadratic equations and how to convert from standard form to vertex form

Today, when I had to convert a quadratic equation, I completely blanked on how to do it

I can’t remember how to do math seventh graders know

You are not supposed to remember everything (it's good of you do),

Once you see the formula, you can apply it, that's what is important.

There have been a few occasions when I've thought to myself, "I aced Calculus in high school! I can solve this without a calculator!" and then I spend thirty seconds trying to remember how to do long division or something.

Oh wow. I learned the meaning of some obscure spring @Annotations. Fuck me if I remember them now.

At least when I studied math I was actually able to understand what I was learning
