    Thats where you're right, kiddo
  • 21

    @Tychus image burner in mac is an electron app afaik and it seems effective enough. Well, there is atom then. Which reminds me electron site has a showcase, you might want to check it out.

    @coookie I tried atom it's nice and all but performance ... just nope.

    @Tychus I stayed for the "nice and all" plus since I upgraded my laptop it's snappier so I am happier

    It's true but

    @coookie well tbh i liked somethings there and addons. but it was too annoying performance wise. i moved back to sublime text.

    @Tychus yea the difference is noticeable

    @beercoder That's so great

    Dr. Ian Malcolm: John, the kind of control you're attempting simply is... it's not possible. If there is one thing the history of [JavaScript] has taught us it's that [it] will not be contained. [JS] breaks free, it expands to new territories and crashes through barriers, painfully, maybe even dangerously, but, uh... well, there it is.
    John Hammond: [sardonically] There it is.
    Henry Wu: You're implying that a group composed entirely of [Java and C++ programmmers] will... [use Node]?
    Dr. Ian Malcolm: No. I'm, I'm simply saying that [JavaScript], uh... finds a way.

    @tytho wow it were more relatable than I imagined when you put it more in the context. Would totally watch that movie

    @Tychus what about node.js?

    JavaScript should have never made it past web browsers. And it should have replaced by something better, like Python.
  • 2
    @deusprogrammer But it did, and there are lot of reasons why.
  • 7
    @W1ckeD the main reason for Nodejs was just that a lot of web developers were too lazy to learn a real back end language like Java.
  • 0
    @Nereus what about it ?
  • 4
    @deusprogrammer Here we go again with "Real back end language". Both of them have awesome features as well as nasty flaws. Let's leave it at that. I use both(scala actually) and love both.

    @Esper fucking yavascript

    A friend of mine uses React for a static ugly site
  • 0
    @Nereus you can use bondo, paint and after market body kits to make a piece of shit car look like a race car, but it doesn't change the fact that it's still a piece of shit underneath :P

    Waiting for kernel.js
  • 2
    in before:

    sudo insmod kernel/drivers/net/wireless/brcm80211.js

    i love how the guy asks me about node.js i answer with "what about it ?" and get multiple downvotes ... :) triggered much fanboys ?
  • 1
    @Tychus I hate how people get triggered when someone doesn't their favorite language/framework/library/OS. It's the bane of any community, not just developers. People believe that an attack on something they love is a personal attack on them, and it's freakin' ridiculous. Not sure what to do about it, other than just not to take things personally from my end.
  • 1
    @tytho there's nothing you can do about it. butthurts will butthurt. instead of discussing opinions they get triggered. oh well
